リリハロ 『ReRe Hello』 by Touko Minami
Ririko has been living a hectic life as her mother died when she was only five. Taking care of a frantic father and helpless siblings, Ririko can only heaves a long sigh. On her first day of high school, she encounters as she’d like to call a true gentleman. Before she could fantasize further, her mind is once again occupied with her current family situation which has gotten worse as her overworked handyman father is hospitalize. The turn of events are not in her favor but the fear of losing another family member, Ririko has decided to do the handyman job on her own accord. With only name and address in hand, Ririko’s not-so-first encounter with a certain someone has about to change her daily routine to be more hectic than ever.
Well, judging from Ririko’s excessive fear of losing someone, a friend who can predict the future through dreams, and a mysterious guy who lives alone and claimed that he has lost both of his parents and is emotionally unbalance. ReRe Hello should be more than a generic shoujo manga. I can sense that both Ririko and Suou are somehow on the same wavelength and can be a lot related to one another. More than the romantic aspect, I’d like to know more about Ririko as much as I want to know about Suou. The characters are intense!
I’ve always loved Touko Minami’s works. They’ve never been overly dramatic and most of them are very sweet. Although, I have a feeling that ReRe Hero has a dark aspect shrouding it. Hence, Towa’s ability to see the future through her dreams (it was previously based on a one-shot called Mabuki Kimidori). If Minami-sensei decided to use this formula further. I am more than happy to continue reading ^^
